This handbook is part of Colourful Childhoods, a project de- signed to empower LGBTIQ children in vulnerable situations to combat violence across Europe. The information contained here is informed by fieldwork carried out in a number of Euro- pean Union countries (Bulgaria, Italy, Lithuania, Hungary, Por- tugal and Spain) during 2022 and 2023 as part of the Colourful Childhoods project. The fieldwork included a transnational survey with the participation of over 3,000 teenagers, eight fo- cus groups with children and teenagers and 83 interviews with professionals who work with children and teenagers. Therefore, this handbook uses data and testimony from project partici- pants throughout the text. The expertise of the project partners was applied to transform the information gathered during the fieldwork into key ideas and recommendations.

La pubblicazione documenta gli esiti dei tre corsi di Laboratorio di Progettazione architettonica del II anno del Corso di Laurea Triennale in Scienze dell’Architettura del Dipartimento di Architettura della Università di Napoli “Federico II” tenuti durante l’anno accademico 2021/22. I tre ateliers hanno assunto come tema d’anno la costruzione di un edificio scolastico all’interno dei quartieri di edilizia residenziale moderna nella periferia della città di Napoli. In particolare, il corso A – prof. Federica Visconti – ha lavorato sul Rione Luzzatti a Poggioreale e sui quartieri di Barra (Rione d’Azeglio, Rione Cavour e Parco Azzurro) e i corsi B e C – rispettivamente prof. Anna Maria Puleo e prof. Tommaso Fantini – si sono concentrati solo sul Rione Luzzatti condividendo l’obiettivo di conoscere i principi insediativi dell’esistente per progettare Spazi della formazione. Assunte queste premesse, il volume non si limita ad essere una semplice collazione dei progetti degli allievi ma ambisce ad offrire a tutta la comunità accademica (e non solo) una ulteriore condizione di possibilità del confronto. The book is about the outcomes of the three second year Architectural Design Studios of the Bachelor degree course in Science of Architecture of the Department of Architecture of the Federico II University of Naples held during the academic year 2021/22. The three ateliers took as their year theme, the construction of a school building within the modern housing quarters in the suburbs of the city of Naples. In particular, Course A – Prof. Federica Visconti – worked on Rione Luzzatti in Poggioreale and the Barra quarters (Rione d’Azeglio, Rione Cavour and Parco Azzurro), and Courses B and C – Prof. Anna Maria Puleo and Prof. Tommaso Fantini, respectively – focused only on Rione Luzzatti sharing the goal of knowing the settlement principles of the existing in order to design Spaces of Education. On the basis of these premises, the book is not limited to being a simple collection of students’ projects but aspires to offer the entire academic community (and not only) an additional condition of possibility of comparison.

Historical perspective is an important means of understanding both past and current tensions between religious rule and legal norm.
