    Si discute dell’incendio che devastò Torino nel 69 d.C. Nella città erano stati acquartierati i Batavi e la Legione XIV. Dopo una lite sorta tra i soldati, Vitellio ordinò alla legione di lasciare la città. La notte che la legione partì, i fuochi dei bivacchi lasciati accesi provocarono l’incendio. In questo articolo vi mostro come la vicenda è stata riportata in letteratura, travisando il testo di Tacito che narra l’accaduto, per dar la colpa ai Batavi.

Originally published in: 2018A&A...616A...7S; The Radial Velocity Spectrometer (RVS) on board of Gaia having no calibration device, the zero point of radial velocities needs to be calibrated with stars proved to be stable at the level of 300m/s during the Gaia observations. A dataset of about 71000 ground-based radial velocity measurements from five high resolution spectrographs has been compiled. A catalogue of 4813 stars was built by combining these individual measurements. The zero point has been established using asteroids. The resulting catalogue has 7 observations per star on average on a typical time baseline of 6 years, with a median standard deviation of 15m/s. A subset of the most stable stars fulfilling the RVS requirements has been used to establish the zero point of the radial velocities provided in Gaia DR2. The stars not used for calibration are used for the RVS data validation. (2 data files).

G328.2551-0.5321 has been observed with ALMA in Cycle 2, and the phase center was (RA,DE)J2000=(15:58:00.05, -53:57:57.8). We used 11 of the 7m antennas on the 2014 July 8 and 16, as well as 34 and 35 of the 12m antennas on 2015 May 3, and 2015 September 1, respectively. The 7m array observations are discussed in detail in Csengeri et al. (2017, Cat. J/A+A/600/L10). Here we also present the 12m array observations, for which the baseline range is 15m (17kλ) to 1574m (1809kλ). The total time on source was 7.4 minutes, and the system temperature (Tsys) varies between 120 and 200K. (2 data files).

Originally published in: 2016A&A...592A..76D; VY CMa was observed for ALMA Science Verification on 2013 16-19 August using 16-20 12-m antennas on baselines from 0.014-2.7km. The main objective was to map the H2O maser lines at 321 and 325GHz (Band 7) and 658GHz (Band 9), but several thermal lines identified with various rotational transitions of NaCl, TiO2, SO2, and SiO were also present in the spectral setting in addition to the continuum data.Four NaCl lines in the ground or first vibrational state are covered in the ALMA band 7 data.All of them are detected, albeit only two are unblended (see Table 1).(3 data files).

Originally published in: 2018A&A...616A...7S; The Radial Velocity Spectrometer (RVS) on board of Gaia having no calibration device, the zero point of radial velocities needs to be calibrated with stars proved to be stable at the level of 300m/s during the Gaia observations. A dataset of about 71000 ground-based radial velocity measurements from five high resolution spectrographs has been compiled. A catalogue of 4813 stars was built by combining these individual measurements. The zero point has been established using asteroids. The resulting catalogue has 7 observations per star on average on a typical time baseline of 6 years, with a median standard deviation of 15m/s. A subset of the most stable stars fulfilling the RVS requirements has been used to establish the zero point of the radial velocities provided in Gaia DR2. The stars not used for calibration are used for the RVS data validation. (2 data files).

G328.2551-0.5321 has been observed with ALMA in Cycle 2, and the phase center was (RA,DE)J2000=(15:58:00.05, -53:57:57.8). We used 11 of the 7m antennas on the 2014 July 8 and 16, as well as 34 and 35 of the 12m antennas on 2015 May 3, and 2015 September 1, respectively. The 7m array observations are discussed in detail in Csengeri et al. (2017, Cat. J/A+A/600/L10). Here we also present the 12m array observations, for which the baseline range is 15m (17kλ) to 1574m (1809kλ). The total time on source was 7.4 minutes, and the system temperature (Tsys) varies between 120 and 200K. (2 data files).

Originally published in: 2016A&A...592A..76D; VY CMa was observed for ALMA Science Verification on 2013 16-19 August using 16-20 12-m antennas on baselines from 0.014-2.7km. The main objective was to map the H2O maser lines at 321 and 325GHz (Band 7) and 658GHz (Band 9), but several thermal lines identified with various rotational transitions of NaCl, TiO2, SO2, and SiO were also present in the spectral setting in addition to the continuum data.Four NaCl lines in the ground or first vibrational state are covered in the ALMA band 7 data.All of them are detected, albeit only two are unblended (see Table 1).(3 data files).
