The problem of comparing different sectors, companies, or projects occurs very often. This problem arises of poorly chosen metodics or requirements for results. The results of such comparisons are inconclusive and then useless. The contribution of this work is a practical guide which focuses on using of data envelopment models for evaluation of different options. In this thesis DEA models are presented on renewable energy sources. For proper understanding of the problems it is necessary to define what the data envelopment models (also known as DEA models) are. The purpose of this thesis is to inform about their creation and origins and also the description of their function. There is also an introduction into the teory of renewable energy sources. Renewable energy sources are evaluated based on their input. In this thesis is a comparison of biomass with solar, water and wind energy.

Ecological footprint (EF) is a concept to measure anthropogenic influence of individuals, regions, states and society on environment, which is expressed by units of global hectares (gha). Global hectares are calculated from the equivalent number of hectares of biologically productive area, which ensure the needs of person, cities, regions or states. The calculation includes all the anthropogenic activities using renewable natural resources. EF also examines and quantifies the area needed for carbon sequestration. EF is calculated from six land use types - cropland, grazing land, forest for timber and fuelwood, fishing grounds, built-up land and forest for carbon dioxide uptake. Plants, as participants in a number of important processes on the Earth and the base of the food pyramid, can significantly modify the final EF through the value of their net primary production (NPP). Yield factors and equivalence factors are used to transfer different areas productivity (forest, cropland, grazing land, etc.) to get land use types in global hectares. The aim of the present thesis is to make a review of the concept of ecological footprint and its calculation methodology especially the effect of variability in NPP of plants in ecosystems. The influence of ongoing global climate change can affect NPP of plants and this...

This thesis is focused on waste made by smal distilleries and utilization of this waste for energetic use. In thesis, there are described physical and chemical properties of each type of waste snd the possibility of their recycling or utilization as a raw material. Current situation and situation in ways of waste destruction were analyzed in a case study made with several chosen small distilleries. Based on this study, distillery waste is used as a raw material for energetic in a limited way. Next chapter describes technology used for separation of waste fraction and technology for re-using its energetic potential. Separate chapter consist from case study which deals with utilization of waste in a one concrete small distillery for energetic use.

Bachelor thesis deals with the impact assessment of introduction of the requirement for processing energy performance certificate (PENB) for buildings in possession of public sector. It inspects in detail Czech as well as European legislative connected with energy efficiency, and it examines the differences in approaches to its implementation between EU member states, and its consequences. Moreover, thesis inspects the impact assessment process of EU legislation. Main part of thesis consists of an evaluation of approach of Czech public sector to fulfilling given obligations. From inspection of sample of municipalities, it shows that the targets set by legislative are not being met. At last, thesis analyzes data on public contracts which indicate that there is no such methodology which would inform the state itself about the real energy performance certification impacts on national economy.
