This report attempts to analyze ethically problematic cases in two technolo- gies that use Neural Networks as a part of it’s decision making process, specif- ically Facial Recognition and Automated Vehicles. The report covers technical background of both technologies as well as a theoretical background of nor- mative and applied ethics. It goes on to analyze cases of the trolley problem, mundane problems, Bias and Prejudice, and Privacy issues through each the- ories’ perspective. The report goes on to analyze the case studies as a whole through applied ethical principles, and by contrasting the different normative ethical perspectives on specific cases of this technology. This report concludes that the theories imply a need to limit the use of the technology until its further developed, or the ethics for neural networks has been consolidated.

This paper examines the impact of the Estonian initiative and push for the implementation of the Once-Only Principle on a European Union level by engaging in an analysis framed within the theoretical frameworks of Michel Foucault, Daniel R. McCarthy and Hartmund Rosa, and will attempt to do so by synthesizing these theories’ notions of power and social acceleration. The paper concludes that the OOP can be seen as a mechanism that reproduce and maintain cultural hegemony, and that this furthermore is both a result of, and a catalyst for social acceleration.

This study investigates strategies for organisational change, exemplified by the strategy for inclusion in the Danish elementary school within the municipality of Silkeborg. The focus of this study is thus to understand to which extent the strategy is enabling or limiting in order of reaching the objectives of the strategy. We have investigated the realization of the “Mindset” constructed by the Educational Psychological Consultancy, through interviews with EPC, school principals and schoolteachers, alongside observations of two school classes. Through the use of Finn Borum’s strategies for organisational change, we have identified the technical-rational and the humanistic change-strategy as dominant strategies in the change for more inclusion. This study’s findings include an understanding of the different socially constructed perspectives of inclusion depending on the various positions within the organisation, which have limited the objectives of the strategy. Furthermore, we conclude that underlying elements affects the different sensemaking at each level of the organisation and thus limits the realization of the “Mindset”, even though the Mindset is evident in the environment.

We have been witnesses to an increase of attention towards the feminist spectrum, making it possible to notice its escalating presence in media, political agendas, and social debates. Therefore, this research comprehends a study concerning the feminist movement in Western countries and its hypothetical Capitalization. The intention is to prove that the Fourth Feminist Wave (also seen as the one happening within the last decade), and consequently the feminist principles, are affected by its Capitalization. Neoliberalism theory has been the main tool to engage with this field, as we view Capitalization as a neoliberal feature. Moreover, two different conceptualizations of feminism have been used, along with the concepts of Commodity Feminism and Femvertising, which treats the issues of commercializing with feminist principles. This research has been viewed from a sociological and economic approach, combined to create an interdisciplinary project.

This master thesis addresses normative control mechanisms in Ugandan society that are affecting adolescents in their pursuit of sexual health (SH), and why these are causing a struggle for them in terms of mental health. This study uses anthropological methods in collecting empirical data; participant observational studies, interviews and focus group discussions with Ugandan adolescents, facilitated through the local NGO Reach A Hand Uganda. Furthermore, we have incorporated document analysis of the National Sexuality Education Framework (NSEF).The research design was built on the African concept of Ubuntu in order to decolonise our knowledge production and create space for Indigenous epistemologies, in respect of decentering African communal knowledge building. This was chosen from a methodological stance of Decolonial Feminist Ethnography. With a critical decolonial feminist angle, based on the work of Sylvia Tamale, the data was analysed with various Foucauldian theories; Governmentality, Biopolitics and Pastoral Power, supported by Stella Nyanzi’s theoretical and contextual understandings of these, to investigate macro- and meso-level normative control mechanisms. Together with Albert Bandura's Social Cognitive Theory of Self-Regulation and Merrill Singer’s Syndemic Theory, we investigate dynamics and outcomes of this power on a micro-level.The analysis is structured within five thematic chapters, based on empirical findings. The first chapter explores normative control embedded in the NSEF rooted in religious morals, and depicts how the framing of national values and dangers are used to legitimise institutional control and power. The second chapter focuses on the emphasis on women in intervention strategies, disregarding the role of men, especially in relation to gender equality and equity, impacting gender dynamics. The third chapter further explores this phenomenon. Here we show how gender power dynamics shape interactions of e.g. sexual negotiation, affecting young women’s SH disproportionately leading to exploitation, gender-based violence and teenage pregnancies. The fourth chapter analyses how taboos, myths and misinformation, and the stigma of ‘being spoiled’ affects adolescents and controls adolescent behaviour on a meso-level. This leads to the final chapter which analyses the consequences to mental health, as fear and confusion propels distrust across communities.

Abstract This paper concerns the facilitation of inclusive education in the Danish elementary school. The idea of an inclusive school has become a world trend over the past decade, which is why in 1993 the Danish Education Act changed and the ratification of the Salamanca Declaration led to great adjustments in Danish elementary schools; education is now compulsory between the ages of 6-7 and 16.

In this assigment we have tried to find out how to create a behaviour for a robot that gives an illusion of trusting a user. We have constructed a robot that builds on a weak artificial intelligence and is controlled by a Arduino we programed. With interaction design as a method for Research Through Design, we have tried to test the robot and through these tests we have found that trust is a very complicated term, that requires a strong form of articifial intelligence and depends on others behaviour. We have found that the users trust in the robot in the situation we tested is prior to the experience of the robots trusting behaviour. Children as young and elders commented and said their opinion about what we could to better and gave us a broader perspective to see what it is that can help os on the way to a better trust robot.
