In my work I present possibilities of oral history usage in history lessons in the Czech Republic. I focus on primary schools and present tasks and realization of concrete projects. Main task is communication among the children and narrators, and cooperation among the families and the school. In my paper is introduced Czech elementary education, connection of oral history and history lessons, thematic areas and proposals of three concrete projects. First project is about daily life in normalization. The second one named “Become an explorer” describes record of historical changes through the street name changes. The third one deals November’s events in the 1989 and its output is “living museum”. Students present here their knowledge and skills, which they gained at the school. With their creations they decorated walls of the classes and corridors of school.

Caves represent portions of past landscapes that were, for a long time, used by humans and their ancestors for various purposes and therefore, they have been a focus of researchers for more than two hundred years. Accumulated artifacts, ecofacts, and sediments can be used to reconstruct the environments and lives of the past. Here, we describe current methods applied to excavations of cave sites with emphasis put on their interdisciplinary nature. The case of systematic interdisciplinary research is documented with regard to the Lapa do Picareiro limestone cave, located in central Portugal, approximately 100 km north of Lisbon. The cave sediments have been dated to between 45 and 8 kya BP. A wide range of evidence from the cave (artifacts, faunal and floral remains, sediments, etc.) is used to reconstruct past natural environments (e.g., Bicho et al. 2011; Haws 2012), including fauna (Haws and Valente 2006; Hockett and Haws 2009; Valente 2004), human diet (Hockett and Haws 2009) and socio-natural interactions (Haws 2012). The interdisciplinarity is a key to understanding a whole series of phenomena which would not otherwise be understood. The current scientific demand for high quality, complex research and publication is mirrored in an increasing trend of incorporating specialists from other fields in research design and management.

The past twenty-five years have seen the development of a sub-discipline in archaeology labelled “20th Century Conflict Archaeology” around the world. The sub-discipline is focused on the remains of the military, civil, political and religious conflicts of the last century. Traces of these events are examined using an interdisciplinary approach because many different sources have been left behind to serve the researchers of this field, each of which carries unique information hardly detectable from another point of view. While the First and Second World Wars have attracted the lion’s share of attention, in recent years the efforts of researchers have turned to the Cold War and to the most famous symbol of the era—the so-called Iron Curtain, a fence of barbed wire separating the Eastern and the Western blocs. The most famous part of the curtain is the Berlin Wall. Nevertheless, research of this topic in Czech academia remains marginalized. The aim of this paper is to present how these issues are studied abroad and outline opportunities to study this in the Czech Republic. Our examples are the Iron Curtain itself and the village of Maříž, in whose history the events of the last century left an indelible mark.

While developing the research of food strategies in the past a new methodology of antigen-antibody reaction has been established and verified for the detection of milk proteins in the porous surfaces of archaeological ceramics. We demonstrate the presence of cow and goat milk in the examined Neolithic pottery and the presence of cow milk in the Bronze Age pottery. Contrary to the previous published research we show that goat milk prevails among the samples of Neolithic pottery; the cow milk is much less frequent. I prefer to suggest the hypothesis The most likely hypothesis explaining my view seems to reside in the use of pottery for feeding babies with goat milk, which is much easier to digest, whereas cow's milk could have been be processed more often in non-ceramic vessels. The variations recorded in our assemblage may indicate the various extend of dairy production in researched regions, or they may suggest the different use of various ceramic vessels. The presence of milk residues within Neolithic pottery and the lactose tolerance mutation by adults does not seem to be related. Neolithic people probably learned to reduce or eliminate the content of milk sugar. Nevertheless, the further research is necessary for solving the problems of the lactose tolerance mutation and its spreading within European populations. As well as the study of the ways of diary production in the past. Obhájeno

The output of my Diploma Thesis is illustrated book for children of age 5-8 years with its own original story. The book is divided to 11 chapters and describes a journey of young boy little Kubik, to Spanish city Santiago de Compositely. The illustrations are stylised and adapted to a children's eye. Illustrations depict mostly a changing nature and surrounding along the hero's journey in northern Spain. The main colours are blue, brown and yellow, sporadic red. The book has an adventures story about pilgrim. It contains a facts about San Jacobs pilgrimage, about it's history and differences sights along the journey. I believe the colourful illustration will find the interest in the children's audience. The book is suitable as for kids as for their parents.

Voice assistants are systems with main purpose to simplify or automatize common everyday tasks. Users interact with them through voice, allowing them to be used in situations where user has both hands and/or eyes fully occupied, or has limited visual or physical abilities. The topic of this thesis is design and implementation of personal voice assistant with emphasis on easy modifiability and extensibility, capable of basic management of the selected communication platform and reacting to external events. The thesis describes the design of the whole system as well as individual parts and reasons some design choices. The implementation is described along with problems that occurred during the work and their solutions.

Diploma thesis "Biedermeier in selected works of Czech prose from the 20s and 30s of the 19th century" - discusses the various aspects of biedermeier (art, culture, lifestyle) and thus aids understanding of the connection between this style and literary works created at this time. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to the analysis of literary works of the 1. part of 19th century, the patriotic Czech authors. In their literature the atmosphere of the pre-March period is evident.
