    Le strutture storiche sono state costruite senza tener conto delle azioni orizzontali risultando molto vulnerabili alle azio- ni sismiche e alle vibrazioni indotte dal traffico. Il rilievo di vibrazioni ambientali e forzate consente di valutare il com- portamento dinamico di una struttura monumentale e di tarare un modello matematico, indispensabile per stimarne lo stato di salute e definire eventuali interventi. Sin dagli anni ’80 l’ENEA ha eseguito rilievi di vibrazioni su diversi monu- menti tra cui l’Obelisco Flaminio, il Colosseo, l’Arco di Costantino, il Duomo di Orvieto e la Villa dei Misteri di Pompei.

    This paper summarizes the major contributions to understanding the sea-level oscillations during the last climatic hemicycle. More than seventy fundamental publications are reviewed bearing on the dynamics of eustatic processes and on the tectonic and isostatic behaviour of coastal sectors. The critical analysis of methodologies and results yielded by different reserchers has allowed to propose a new correlation scheme for sea-level data in different parts of the world. The improvement in datation techniques and the theoretical modelling of both glacio-eustatic variations and isostatic rebounds of coastal sectors to deglaciation, have been pivotal in sea-level researches during the 70 and '80. During the last decade, the refinement of radiodating techniques has prompted the correlation of sea-level data from different parts of the world. The available data set has grown from coral reefs and morpho-depositional units such as marine terraces and transitional coastal deposits, to include oxygen-isotopic analysis of deep-sea muds, their relationships with changes of ice volumes, datation of submerged speleothems and marin biogenic overgrowths. Comparative analysis of data on relative sea-level changes in different coastal sectors has pointed out the need for evaluating the tectonic and isostatic behaviour of the investigated coastal sectors. Based on the results of our research and the review of existing literature, a new reference marker is proposed in order to allow data correlation from different coastal sectors on the ground of their tectonic and isostatic stability. Such marker is represented by the eustatic sea level related to the substage 5e. The "relative eustatic variation" during the late Pleistocene-Holocene is here defined as the sea-level change caused by water volume variation induced by climatic variation relative to the present-day sea level. Such change is deduced from geological-geomorphological indicators such as terraces and notches found in coastal areas which are proved to be stable since the "Eutyrrhenian". The rate of vertical uplift for these areas must be below 0.016 m/ka, equal to about 2 m in the last 125 ka. The difficulty in constructing previsionai eustatic models is finally discussed in the light of the complexity of the process itself and of the concurrence of anthropic activity. This problem can be only alleviated by the availability of a greater number of data from tectonicvally stable area.

    La progettazione di un futuro in cui si coniughino ambiente e sviluppo deve passare attraverso la capacità di realizzare politiche ambientali di prodotto che vedano le PMI come attori principali. Perché ciò avvenga è necessario creare un complesso sistema di servizi di supporto a vari livelli. L'impegno assunto con il progetto eLCA, mirato a realizzare e sperimentare un sito Web per promuovere l'adozione della IPP da parte delle PMI, nasce dalla consapevolezza che una tale realizzazione richiede inizialmente un supporto di tipo pubblico, per assicurare la disponibilità di conoscenze e dati, anche se il servizio può essere in seguito gestito con il concorso di organizzazioni pubbliche e private. La capacità di creare una struttura con competenze tecnico-manageriali e mezzi strumentali e logistici in grado di gestire il sito al termine del progetto sarà determinante per il successo dell'intera iniziativa.

    Gli agenti coloranti a base di cobalto per tingere i vetri azzurri sono stati utilizzati sin dall’antichità. Nel corso del tempo sono mutate le tecnologie per ottenere questi coloranti, ma il cobalto è stato sempre più impiegato per colorare in azzurro anche smalti, ceramiche e porcellane. In aggiunta, a partire dal XV secolo, un semilavorato vetroso contenente forti concentrazioni di cobalto (azzurro di smalto) è stato usato direttamente come pigmento nelle varie tecniche pittoriche. Il cobalto può essere associato a vari elementi chimici che, a seconda del minerale, della provenienza e dei metodi di lavorazione possono in parte rimanere nei prodotti finiti. La loro determinazione, pertanto, può fornire indicazioni preziose per la datazione, l’individuazione dell’origine dei materiali o delle tecnologie di produzione.Questa monografia è frutto di un’approfondita ricerca sui siti di origine dei minerali di cobalto, sulla loro estrazione, sulla produzione dei pigmenti ed il loro commercio.

    Nella pubblicazione viene riportata una sintesi di parte delle attività svolte nel quadro dell’accordo tra il Ministero dell'Ambiente e della Tutela del Territorio e del Mare e l’ENEA, relativamente all’uso efficiente delle risorse in Italia, per la filiera dell’olio d'oliva, selezionata sia a causa del suo potenziale, sia della necessità di stimolare la competitività a livello di sistema e delle singole imprese, come sottolineato nel Piano del Settore dell’olio d’oliva italiano, pubblicato nel 2016. A tal fine è stata condotta un'indagine volontaria, che ha coinvolto numerose aziende, in particolare piccole imprese e associazioni di categoria, per verificare lo stato corrente dell’uso delle risorse e identificare gli elementi chiave per l'efficienza. Questo rapporto presenta i risultati del sondaggio, informazioni sulle migliori pratiche e innovazioni tecnologiche per sostenere un uso efficiente delle risorse nella catena di approvvigionamento e alcuni esempi di progetti di R&S in corso o recentemente completati.

    Nel percorso di transizione verso uno sviluppo più sostenibile gli aspetti che riguardano la produzione energetica sono di particolare rilievo, in quanto impattano sui settori dell’industria, della produzione, del consumo e delle grandi infrastrutture. Tutti questi sono settori strategici per la crescita economica di un paese, che in ultima analisi, si basa in larga parte sulla disponibilità di energia a costo contenuto. Tuttavia, il settore della produzione energetica risulta essere uno dei più impattanti, soprattutto se considerato dal punto di vista ambientale. Il lavoro qui presentato si è proposto di indagare il grado di sostenibilità raggiunto a livello nazionale dal settore della produzione di energia elettrica, analizzando gli ultimi bilanci di sostenibilità (2017-2020) pubblicati dai 10 maggiori produttori di energia in Italia, secondo la classifica stilata da ARERA nella sua relazione annuale sullo Stato dei Servizi 2019. L’analisi è stata effettuata prendendo in considerazione 56 indicatori diversi (Global Reporting Initiative -GRI), legati in modo specifico all’ambito della produzione energetica e riguardanti aspetti di tipo sia ambientale che sociale ed economico. I risultati ottenuti non intendono descrivere una graduatoria stringente, né tantomeno esprimere un giudizio di merito sull’operato delle singole aziende. Il lavoro ha permesso di evidenziare punti di forza e di debolezza dei sistemi di rendicontazione aziendale sulla sostenibilità, e ha fornito preziose indicazioni sui livelli raggiunti e raggiungibili in vista dell’obiettivo del Green Deal al 2050. Il lavoro può rappresentare una baseline per seguire nel tempo la transizione energetica del Paese Italia, nel percorso tracciato dalla strategia Green Deal della Commissione Europea, fotografando un istante di un percorso che vede non solo le aziende di produzione elettrica, ma la società tutta intera, impegnate nel ridefinire il futuro.

    Le strutture storiche sono state costruite senza tener conto delle azioni orizzontali risultando molto vulnerabili alle azio- ni sismiche e alle vibrazioni indotte dal traffico. Il rilievo di vibrazioni ambientali e forzate consente di valutare il com- portamento dinamico di una struttura monumentale e di tarare un modello matematico, indispensabile per stimarne lo stato di salute e definire eventuali interventi. Sin dagli anni ’80 l’ENEA ha eseguito rilievi di vibrazioni su diversi monu- menti tra cui l’Obelisco Flaminio, il Colosseo, l’Arco di Costantino, il Duomo di Orvieto e la Villa dei Misteri di Pompei.

    This paper summarizes the major contributions to understanding the sea-level oscillations during the last climatic hemicycle. More than seventy fundamental publications are reviewed bearing on the dynamics of eustatic processes and on the tectonic and isostatic behaviour of coastal sectors. The critical analysis of methodologies and results yielded by different reserchers has allowed to propose a new correlation scheme for sea-level data in different parts of the world. The improvement in datation techniques and the theoretical modelling of both glacio-eustatic variations and isostatic rebounds of coastal sectors to deglaciation, have been pivotal in sea-level researches during the 70 and '80. During the last decade, the refinement of radiodating techniques has prompted the correlation of sea-level data from different parts of the world. The available data set has grown from coral reefs and morpho-depositional units such as marine terraces and transitional coastal deposits, to include oxygen-isotopic analysis of deep-sea muds, their relationships with changes of ice volumes, datation of submerged speleothems and marin biogenic overgrowths. Comparative analysis of data on relative sea-level changes in different coastal sectors has pointed out the need for evaluating the tectonic and isostatic behaviour of the investigated coastal sectors. Based on the results of our research and the review of existing literature, a new reference marker is proposed in order to allow data correlation from different coastal sectors on the ground of their tectonic and isostatic stability. Such marker is represented by the eustatic sea level related to the substage 5e. The "relative eustatic variation" during the late Pleistocene-Holocene is here defined as the sea-level change caused by water volume variation induced by climatic variation relative to the present-day sea level. Such change is deduced from geological-geomorphological indicators such as terraces and notches found in coastal areas which are proved to be stable since the "Eutyrrhenian". The rate of vertical uplift for these areas must be below 0.016 m/ka, equal to about 2 m in the last 125 ka. The difficulty in constructing previsionai eustatic models is finally discussed in the light of the complexity of the process itself and of the concurrence of anthropic activity. This problem can be only alleviated by the availability of a greater number of data from tectonicvally stable area.

    La progettazione di un futuro in cui si coniughino ambiente e sviluppo deve passare attraverso la capacità di realizzare politiche ambientali di prodotto che vedano le PMI come attori principali. Perché ciò avvenga è necessario creare un complesso sistema di servizi di supporto a vari livelli. L'impegno assunto con il progetto eLCA, mirato a realizzare e sperimentare un sito Web per promuovere l'adozione della IPP da parte delle PMI, nasce dalla consapevolezza che una tale realizzazione richiede inizialmente un supporto di tipo pubblico, per assicurare la disponibilità di conoscenze e dati, anche se il servizio può essere in seguito gestito con il concorso di organizzazioni pubbliche e private. La capacità di creare una struttura con competenze tecnico-manageriali e mezzi strumentali e logistici in grado di gestire il sito al termine del progetto sarà determinante per il successo dell'intera iniziativa.
