On Thursday 12th March 2020, the Taoiseach announced a number of significant measures designed to contain the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and lessen the risk of infection in the population, especially to vulnerable groups. These measures have placed significant restrictions on the normal operation of business and society. Many accommodations have had to be made to ensure the operation of critical services during this time, including both front-line health services and other services which support the continued functioning of society and business. Planning authorities have responded through implementation of business continuity plans and are ensuring, insofar as possible, and having regard to public health advice, that necessary provision is made to allow for the appropriate functioning of the planning service. This is an evolving situation, which will be kept under review by the Department through engagement with the City and County Management Association (CCMA), Local Government Management Agency (LGMA), An Bord Pleanála, the Office of the Planning Regulator and other Government Departments. This planning guidance addresses potential uncertainty which has arisen where there is an interaction between the public health measures that have been implemented, and operational restrictions imposed by planning condition, for example where essential retail operators, in an effort to ensure that food and other supplies can be delivered in a safe and timely manner, may be subject to planning conditions that restrict delivery times.

Das ARE-Geschehen wird weiterhin hauptsächlich durch Erkältungsviren wie Rhinoviren bestimmt. In den verschiedenen Systemen finden sich jedoch Hinweise für eine leichte Zunahme der SARS-CoV-2-Aktivität, ausgehend von einem anhaltend niedrigen Niveau. Die Zahl schwer verlaufender Atemwegsinfektionen bleibt auf einem niedrigen Niveau. Die Aktivität akuter respiratorischer Erkrankungen (ARE) in der Bevölkerung ist in der 24. KW 2024 im Vergleich zur Vorwoche gestiegen. Auch im ambulanten Bereich ist die Zahl der Arztbesuche wegen ARE in der 24. KW im Vergleich zur Vorwoche insgesamt leicht gestiegen. Im NRZ für Influenzaviren wurden in der 24. KW 2024 in insgesamt 50 der 83 eingesandten Sentinelproben respiratorische Viren identifiziert, darunter hauptsächlich Rhinoviren (34 %), gefolgt von Adenoviren (11 %), humanen Metapneumoviren (hMPV; 8 %), Parainfluenzaviren (PIV; 8 %), humanen saisonalen Coronaviren (hCoV; 5 %), SARS-CoV-2 (2 %) und Respiratorischen Synzytialviren (RSV; 1 %). Influenzaviren wurden in der 24. KW nicht nachgewiesen. Im Rahmen der ICD-10-Code basierten Krankenhaussurveillance (ICOSARI) blieb die Zahl schwerer akuter respiratorischer Infektionen (SARI) in der 24. KW 2024 weiterhin auf einem niedrigen Niveau. Der Anteil der Influenza-, RSV- bzw. COVID-19-Diagnosen bei SARI-Patientinnen und -Patienten liegt bereits seit April 2024 unter 5 %. In der 24. KW wurde bei 3 % der SARI-Fälle eine COVID-19-Diagnose vergeben und bei 1 % eine Influenza-Diagnose. Die Zahl der an das RKI übermittelten COVID-19 Fälle ist in der 24. Meldewoche (MW) im Vergleich zur 23. MW weiter gestiegen. Im Abwassermonitoring lag die aggregierte SARS-CoV-2-Viruslast bei ebenfalls leicht steigendem Trend auf einem niedrigen Niveau.
