The species Acrocinus longimanus, popularly called harlequin beetle, is one of the most emblematic beetles of Neotropical fauna. In the presente study we report on the first record of Acrocinus longimanus (Linnaeus, 1758) in the city of Montes Claros, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The specimen was registered in November 2018 in the urban zone of Montes Claros in a residential and commercial area. This is the first record of Acrocinus longimanus in the city of Montes Claros, Minas Gerais and represents only the fourth record of the species in the Brazilian Cerrado region. Our study reinforces the occurrence of this species in the Brazilian Cerrado and the use of urban areas by this longhorned beetle.

Quantum walks are the quantum counterpart of classical random walks and provide an intuitive framework for building new quantum algorithms. The lackadaisical quantum walk, which is a quantum analog of the lazy random walk, is obtained by adding a self-loop transition to each state allowing the walker to stay stuck in the same state, being able to improve the performance of the quantum walks as search algorithms. However, the high dependence of a weight $l$ makes it a key parameter to reach the maximum probability of success in the search process. Although many advances have been achieved with search algorithms based on quantum walks, the number of self-loops can also be critical for search tasks. Believing that the multiple self-loops have not yet been properly explored, this article proposes the quantum search algorithm Multiself-loop Lackadaisical Quantum Walk with Partial Phase Inversion, which is based on a lackadaisical quantum walk with multiple self-loops where the target state phase is partially inverted. Each vertex has $m$ self-loops, with weights $l' = l/m$, where $l$ is a real parameter. The phase inversion is based on Grover's algorithm and acts partiality, modifying the phase of a given quantity $s \leqslant m$ of self-loops. On a hypercube structure, we analyzed the situation where $s=1$ and $1 \leqslant m \leqslant 30$ and investigated its effects in the search for 1 to 12 marked vertices. Based on two ideal weights $l$ used in the literature, we propose two new weight values. As a result, with the proposal of the Multiself-loop Lackadaisical Quantum Walk with partial phase inversion of target states and the new weight values for the self-loop, this proposal improved the maximum success probabilities to values close to 1. This article contributes with a new perspective on the use of quantum interferences in the construction of new quantum search algorithms. Comment: 16 pages, 4 figures, 3 tables

The article deals with the socio-cultural phenomena of advertisement which is an integral part of modern society. Such advertisements functioning in the community are characterized by specific structural and semantic features that are in dependence on both a target group and purpose. To evaluate the specifics of the correlation between verbal and non-verbal components in an advertising text we adjusted the classification of advertising in terms of the theory of language and the degree of a prolonged person’s exposure. Thus, the division into informational and image advertising makes it possible to see that advertising is both the source of information about a product and a trigger of the complex psychological programming arrangements and the means of influencing a person. In Brazil, the last country in the Americas to abolish slavery, the effects of colonization reverberate in the insurgence of a necropolitics that directly affects Black youth and children. According to the Brazilian Forum of Public Safety, between the years of 2016 and 2020, 35 thousand people from 0 to 17 years old were killed in violent ways. In 2021, around 7 children or teenagers were victims of lethal violence per day. For such, the text updated the condition of contemporary necropolitics considering its colonizing genealogy, having as central axis the comprehension of «the complex of Miguel Otávio», (Souza and Carvalho, 2022, p. 7) as the capacity whether rational or not, conscious or unconscious, of adultcentrism to banalize the risks to which children are submitted, to the point of dying in gratuitous, stupid, violent, irresponsible and negligent forms. Considering examples such as Miguel Otávio Santana, who was 4 years old and was killed due to infant abandonment, and João Pedro Mattos, who was 14 years old and was shot by the police with a rifle, both cases taking place in the most rigid period of the COVID-19 quarantine, it is possible to understand that such processes educate the Brazilian society to treat differences as a synonym to inequalities and that adultcentrism is key in the composition of the Brazilian racism that sustains the death of Black children. The entity relatedness problem refers to the question of exploring a knowledge base, represented as an RDF graph, to discover and understand how two entities are connected. This question can be addressed by implementing a path search strategy that combines an entity similarity measure with an entity degree limit and an expansion limit to reduce the path search space and a path ranking measure to order the relevant paths between a given pair of entities in the RDF graph. This thesis first introduces a framework, called CoEPinKB, together with an implementation, to experiment with path search strategies. The framework features as hot spots the entity similarity measure, the entity degree limit, the expansion limit, the path ranking measure, and the knowledge base. The thesis moves on to present a performance evaluation of nine path search strategies using a benchmark from two entertainment domains over the OpenLink Virtuoso SPARQL protocol endpoint of the DBpedia. The thesis then introduces DCoEPinKB, a distributed version of the framework based on Apache Spark, that supports the empirical evaluation of path search strategies, and presents an evaluation of six path search strategies over two entertainment domains over real-data collected from DBpedia. The results provide insights about the performance of the path search strategies and suggest that the framework implementation, instantiated with the best performing pair of measures, can be used, for example, to expand the results of search engines over knowledge bases to include related entities.

ABSTRACT Capnocytophaga is a group of facultative anaerobic gram-negative bacteria present in the oral cavity of humans, dogs and cats, as part of their normal oral flora. Here, we described two cases of bloodstream infections (BSI) caused by Capnocytophaga in neutropenic autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (auto-HSCT) patients with mucositis (Grade I and Grade III) identified by Maldi-Tof. They were successfully treated with β-lactam (meropenem and piperacillin-tazobactam). The species C. sputigena was confirmed by 16S rRNA gene sequencing in one patient. The review of literature showed that C. ochraceae was the most frequent species causing BSI in auto-HSCT patients and that the patients usually presented mucositis and were neutropenic at the onset of the infection.
