This paper presents environmental and cultural sustainability research in progress about designing an integrated interventions certification protocol for regenerating small historical centers affected by depopulation in Italy and Spain. These centers, especially in Italy, are for the most part located in less accessible internal areas. The Historical Small Smart City Protocol is a tool of territorial governance for municipalities. It aims to involve all stakeholders while stimulating the municipal authorities to apply to regional or European Union (EU) funds. The protocol includes “smart city” categories or priority action areas applied to historic towns and contains instructions and guidelines that explain their realization methods.

In questo studio, viene esplorata l’interazione tra bambini di 18-36 mesi e robot sociali all’interno di un contesto di asilo nido. Il lavoro si basa su principi di psicologia dello sviluppo e child-robot interaction (CRI). Il primo capitolo fornisce un’analisi storica sulla percezione degli oggetti inanimati sin dalla antichità, esaminando anche alcuni concetti psicologici di Vygotskji, Piaget, Freud e della Teoria della Mente. Presenta una revisione della letteratura sulla interazione uomo-robot, con un focus specifico sulla CRI. Viene messa in evidenza la mancanza di studi nella fascia di età sotto i 36 mesi. Successivamente, si affronta il tema del design dei robot e del concetto di antropomorfismo, considerando il concetto di affordance degli oggetti materiali e della conoscenza incarnata che ne segue. Il metodo di studio utilizzato è l’analisi qualitativa delle video-trascrizioni, che individua unità di argomentazione come l’esplorazione senso-motoria, l’interazione bambini-robot, il gioco simbolico e le interazioni tra pari. I risultati suggeriscono che le caratteristiche sociomateriali dei robot influenzano le attività e le interazioni dei bambini. Lo studio fornisce un’importante base per comprendere come i bambini già da questa età interagiscono con i robot sociali e come le caratteristiche dei robot possono influenzare le dinamiche di gioco e apprendimento. In this study, the interaction between 18-36 month old children and social robots within a kindergarten context is explored. The work is based on principles of developmental psychology and child-robot interaction (CRI). The first chapter provides a historical analysis on the perception of inanimate objects since antiquity, also examining some psychological concepts from Vygotskji, Piaget, Freud and Theory of Mind. It presents a review of the literature on human-robot interaction, with a specific focus on CRI. The lack of studies in the under-36-month age group is highlighted. Next, the topic of robot design and the concept of anthropomorphism is addressed, considering the concept of affordance of material objects and the embodied knowledge that follows. The study method used is qualitative analysis of video transcripts, which identifies units of argumentation such as sense-motor exploration, child-robot interaction, symbolic play and peer interactions. The results suggest that the sociomaterial characteristics of robots influence children's activities and interactions. The study provides an important basis for understanding how children already at this age interact with social robots and how robot characteristics may influence play and learning dynamics.

This paper aims to highlight the reasons and the circumstances behind the long-lasting loyalty of the Venetian cultural circle towards the philosophy of Aristotle, notoriously widespread in the Veneto and in the Venetian lagoon. Aristotle’s "Politica" appeared to be the most suitable book for answering the questions proposed. Hence the need, in the first part, to trace the origin of the success of the "regimen mixtum" by examining the scripts of Venetian chroniclers, humanists, and political thinkers, in the period between the fourteenth and the early sixteenth century. Instead, the last part is dedicated to a reading of the "Politica" by observing what was the actual historical experience of the Republic of Venice. There are in fact numerous points of contact between the two objects of study, so much so that the metaphysical boundary of the Philosopher’s ideal political proposal notably blends with the historical reality of the Serenissima

THE HIGHWAYS OF THE SEA A balanced development of civil society depends on its ability to govern a particularly complex and in continually changing. A mathematician might think to solve the problem by looking for maxima and minima of a optimization function, but whatever is the effort of calculating current and future, he would be forced to recognize his helplessness when he should explain the algorithms that govern the mutual dependencies between variables. But even if this were not possible, the rigor of a theoretical approach would be impractical for a rigid model that prevails on the exercise of those individual and collective free choices, that are the essence of a modern democracy. Pursuing the function of ensuring the efficiency of sector strategies is a necessary way but the same experience denounce the limits of compromise when are not guaranteed two fundamental conditions: the correct hierarchy of decision making and, within each sector, the appropriate consideration of the constraints and boundary conditions. The transport sector is a negative example in which the expert systems, and urban planner who makes the infrastructure, both claim a record that would relegate to the other a subordinate role. The issue should be resolved at the plan proceeding from general to specific , but in fact the plan is limited in most cases to list those options that find the consensus without defining the time, tools and ways to achieve them. I hope that is not the same in all areas, but it is certain that such a discrepancy find in the transport sector an ample space to practice. From "Project '80" the things have changed only in form, not in substance. We theorized non-compliance "grid compatible" when, some years after its approval, the drafters of the first General Plan for transport wanted to justify the failure. We came up with master plans remained only on paper. We have interpreted the guidance established by community prescriptions, according to our advantage, as was the case for example of high-speed railway which reversed the priorities agreed to EU level. Similarly we have entrusted the planning coherences to the "concert", to the "feeling" of the various departments of which it is not difficult to obtain the consent when you confuse the objectives of the plan with the tools to be implemented to achieve it. In the decision-making context, the lack of communication between sectors and coordination of responsibilities expressed only in formal terms – can find an explanations but not a justification– in the importance of the interests involved. It’s not the same in academic context, where the instances of corporate tend to prevail on the need to form a future ruling class conscious of its role. At the time of the Punic Wars, when some persons of high moral and scientific value contributed to my education, I developed my belief that it’s not possible to adjust the infrastructure system to the needs of society without taking into account the vocation of the territory, its current and future design. At the same time they convinced me that urban planning is not an abstract science, and the analysis underpinning must take into account to the real possibilities of program implementation and the direct and indirect effects resulting from them. I also discovered that, in that time, the opinion of most was unanimous in believing that the timing of qualifying infrastructure design, was not the design of the shaft, geotechnical testing or calculation of structures, but rather the choice of Project inputs, identification of the best feasible alternative for meeting the mobility needs, consistent with the role attributed to the work of his functions.

Theodore Roosevelt changed American foreign policy in a meaningful way, impressing a turn comparable to the influence Wilson had at the international level. With his masculine and imperial posture, he progressively transformed the role of the United States in international relations using a realistic and pragmatic approach. In this general redefinition of the country’s action overseas, he included Italy, a reliable minor partner that could prove strategic in the international projection of his administration. For this reason, he kept ambassador George Von Lengerke Meyer in Rome, transforming him in an attentive and acute observer of the diplomatic game on the European continent and in the Mediterranean. Meyer lived up to the president’s expectations and started a new course in the relations between the United States and Italy. The Italian case is an excellent lens to read the choices made by Roosevelt in international relations.

La pandemia ha messo in luce le criticità già presenti da diversi anni nella nostra scuola. Tuttavia, essa rappresenta anche l’occasione per ridefinire il ruolo dell’istituzione scolastica nella vita sociale e per interrogarci su quali sono le prospettive future del sistema educativo. Il paper ha l’obiettivo di riflettere su come la scuola può trasformare la crisi che sta vivendo in un’opportunità di cambiamento, partendo dall’iniziativa messa in campo dall’UNESCO con il Global Education Coalition e individuando le prospettive per ripensare la scuola post-covid nel nostro Paese, al fine di garantire un’educazione di qualità. The pandemic highlighted the critical issues already present in our school for several years. However, this period of health emergency also represents an opportunity to redefine the role of the educational institution in social life and to ask ourselves what the future prospects of the education system are. Aim of the paper is to reflect on how the school can transform the current crisis into an opportunity for change, starting from the analysis of the initiative implemented by UNESCO (the Global Education Coalition) and focusing the perspectives to re-think the post-covid italian school, to ensure a quality education.

Understanding the crisis of modernity as a crisis of justice, the article explores some reactions against formalism, justice as the legal form par excellence, particularly constitutionalism, that nevertheless stay within the paradigm of State law. Other forms of the presence of justice can be recognized in contemporary legal philosophy: the universality of human rights as a historical phenomenon; the justice of the concrete case; the emergence of the rule of law; and the return of the virtues of jurists.
