    Bu araştırmanın amacı infografik ile biyoloji öğrenme deneyimine sahip öğretmen adaylarının, bu süreçteki görüşlerinin betimlenmesidir. Araştırmanın örneklemini 2015-2016 Eğitim Öğretim yılında Erzincan Eğitim Fakültesi Sınıf Eğitimi Anabilim Dalı’nda eğitim gören 88 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma verileri, 8 hafta süren bir infografik geliştirme sürecinin sonunda, araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen bir anket formu ile tek oturumda toplanmıştır. Araştırmada uygulama konusu olarak insanda dolaşım sistemi seçilmiştir. Araştırma verileri, mod medyan, sıklık (frekans) analizleri ve nitel içerik analizi ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın bulguları öğretmen adaylarının infografik ile taşıma dolaşım sistemini öğrenirken, konuyu yansıtacak tasarım geliştirmede çok fazla zorlandıkları, öğrenme için daha fazla çaba gösterdikleri duygusunu en fazla hissettiklerini ortaya çıkarmıştır. Biyolojinin infografik yoluyla öğrenilmesine ilişkin görüşlerinin önemli oranda (%93) olumlu olduğu, bu yolla çalışmanın görsellik yoluyla kalıcılık ve içerik analizi yoluyla anlamayı etkilediği görüşleri ön plana çıkmaktadır.

    Men's Health is a urological subspecialty that is at the forefront of innovation, but little data exist evaluating the attitudes that andrologists have toward the current treatment modalities available for managing Men's Health conditions. A survey of 37 questions asking what providers would choose as treatment for common conditions was distributed online via Survey Monkey to members of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America and European Society for Sexual Medicine. A total of 115 respondents completed the survey after an initial screening question. For erectile dysfunction (ED), 40%, 38%, and 33% of providers indicated that they would use tadalafil daily, tadalafil on demand, or sildenafil on demand, respectively, as first-line phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitor therapy. Furthermore, a total of 74% would elect to undergo low-intensity shockwave therapy [67%], platelet rich plasma injections [15%], and stem cell injections [15%]. Sex/behavioral therapy was preferred for both premature (36%) and delayed (52%) ejaculation. Approximately 44% of respondents indicated that they would undergo Collagenase Clostridium Histolyticum injections for Peyronie's Disease in the acute phase. In the setting of hypogonadal symptoms with borderline low total testosterone levels (300-400 ng/dL), 69% of respondents would pursue testosterone therapy. The prostatic lift procedure was the preferred procedure for men seeking symptom resolution with preservation of ejaculatory function. Many Men's Health specialists would pursue the least invasive options before considering procedural intervention for any given condition. Providers may shift their treatment preferences toward newer treatment modalities as longer term data become available.

    The rapid expansion of the global cryptocurrency market raises the question of whether there are stable relationships between the prices of representative cryptocurrencies and economic indicators capturing expectations of future monetary policy. Multivariate time-series analysis reveals a single but significant cointegrating relationship between cryptocurrencies and the US term spread. This evidence allows us to explore cointegration-based control analysis of the data, which results in direct policy implications for the implementation of monetary policy allowing for the growing influence of digital assets. Structural breaks due to Tesla terminating the use of Bitcoin for car sales and the US inflation shock in 2022 must be handled, maintaining the stability of the relationship between cryptocurrencies and the term spread.

    In this article we analyze the financing constraints-investment link for the case of Turkey between 1996 and 2013. As different from the existing studies on Turkey we use a more comprehensive data set that includes both publicly-traded and privately-owned firms and analyze the differences in constraints across small- and medium-sized firms and large firms. In addition to the commonly used cash-flow sensitivities we use alternative measures of constraints build from multiple firm specific variables. We find that small- and medium-sized manufacturing firms in Turkey are subject to financing constraints regardless of the measure used.

    Authors: Silva, André Vassalo Vasco da;

    The recent reappearing of CO2 systems is justified either by environmental reasons, economic and legal reasons, as a consequence of the restrictions imposed by the European Commission, specifically as the regulation for the use of fluorinated greenhouse gases, designated by F-gas. The present dissertation developed the project of an air-water heat pump of 50kW for sanitary water heating production, using, as refrigerant fluid, CO2 in a transcritical regime. This system has been earning recognition and strength in the global market of sanitary water heating production equipment, thanks to its significant energy efficiency that contributes to the reduction of energy consumption in areas such as residential, commercial, and service buildings. The initial phase of work began with the identification and analysis of current technologies of transcritical cycles towards the process of getting hot sanitary water, a study that defined the principle to be followed in the heating water pump project. As a way to analyze the system's performance and functioning variations of the refrigeration cycle and additionally, to obtain the required parameters for the selection of the necessary equipment, has been implemented in Microsoft Excel a heat pump calculation tool, modeled as a resource of experimental correlations, databases, and equations of thermodynamics applied in the transcritical cycle of CO2. Based on input data, that is, the operating conditions, the heat pump calculation tool has as output data, mass flow, compression ratio, isentropic and volumetric yield, COP, and the heating power of gas cooler and evaporator. The results obtained from the simulations in the heat pump calculation tool have shown that the heating pump guarantees the required 50kW, for the ambient temperature limit condition of 5°C and the water outlet temperature at 90°C, where there would be a COP of 2,5. The maximum COP obtained was 4,63, as for the operating condition of water outlet temperature of 55°C and ambient temperature of 35°C. It was found that the increase in the ambient temperature and decrease in the temperature of the required water outlet, implies an increase in the COP of the heat pump. Last, with the obtained outlet data in the heat pump calculation tool, was possible to select the main components of the heat pump. After defining the equipment, it still framed the heat pump to the minimum efficiency requirements according to the Portuguese legislation, as well as gives it eligibility for the renewable energy contribution. O ressurgimento recente de ciclos frigoríficos de CO2 é justificado quer por razões ambientais, quer por razões económicas e legais devido às restrições impostas pela comissão europeia, nomeadamente, através da regulamentação para a utilização de gases fluorados, designada por F-gas. Na presente dissertação, foi desenvolvido o projeto de uma bomba de calor ar-água de 50 kW para aquecimento de água sanitárias (AQS), utilizando como fluido frigorigéneo, CO2 em regime transcrítico. Este sistema tem ganho preponderância no mercado mundial de equipamentos destinados à produção de AQS, graças à sua elevada eficiência energética que se traduz na redução de consumo energético nos setores dos edifícios de habitação, comércio e serviços. A fase inicial de trabalho, começou pela identificação e análise das tecnologias atuais de ciclos transcríticos para a produção de água quente sanitária, estudo este que permitiu definir o esquema de princípio a adotar no projeto da bomba de calor. De forma a analisar o desempenho e variações de funcionamento do ciclo frigorifico e também, de obter os parâmetros necessários para seleção dos vários equipamentos, foi desenvolvida uma ferramenta de cálculo da bomba de calor (FCBC), implementada no Excel, modelada com recurso a correlações experimentais, tabelas de propriedades termodinâmicas do CO2, e equações termodinâmicas aplicadas no ciclo transcrítico de CO2. Com base nos dados de entrada, ou seja, nas condições de operação, a FCBC tem como dados de saída, o caudal mássico, a relação de compressão, o rendimento isentrópico e volumétrico, o COP, a potência calorífica do gas cooler e do evaporador. Os resultados obtidos nassimulações na FCBC, mostraram que a bomba de calor garante os 50 kW requeridos, para a condição limite de temperatura ambiente de 5°C e temperatura de saída de água a 90°C, onde teria um COP de 2,5. O COP máximo obtido foi de 4,63, para a condição de operação de temperatura de saída de água de 55°C e temperatura ambiente de 35°C. Verificou-se que o aumento da temperatura ambiente e a diminuição da temperatura de saída de água requerida, implica um aumento do COP da bomba de calor. Por último, com os dados de saída da FCBC foi possível selecionar os componentes principais da bomba de calor. Definido os equipamentos, é ainda enquadrado a bomba de calor perante os requisitos mínimos de eficiência de acordo com a legislação portuguesa, assim como da elegibilidade da mesma no contributo renovável de energia.

    Authors: Topcu, Mustafa;

    After the death of the Prophet Mohammed (Pbuh – sallallahu alayhi wa sallam), who was the first commentator of the Quran, the interpretation of the Quran according to the changing time and need was deemed a duty by both the Companions, Tabiin period (The people who saw the Companions) and our later scholars. Every scholar in the idea of writing tafsir tried to interpret the Quran from different angles according to his own scientific competence and point of view. One of these commentaries and hashıya is the work written by one of the 16 th century Ottoman scholars, Ahmad b. Mahmud al-Asam al-Karamânî (ö. 971/1564). The work awaits to be revealed in library collections, like many manuscripts that will reveal our civilization. The subject of our thesis is the investigation and evaluation of the "Investıgatıon and Evulatıon ıf the Tawbah, Yunud and Hud Surah's of Karamanî Tafsir". Our aim in our thesis is to make an investigation of the relevant parts of this commentary, which is in the form of manuscript, and contribute to the revealing of the work. Our thesis consists of two parts: reading, in which the commentator is told, and Investigation, where the interpretation is discussed. Explanations deemed necessary are made with the titles and footnotes provided. Kur’ânı Kerim’in ilk müfessiri olan Peygamber Efendimizin vefâtından sonra gerek Ashab-ı Kirâm gerek Tâbiîn Dönemi gerekse daha sonraki âlimlerimiz tarafından değişen zaman ve ihtiyâca göre Kur’ân'ın tefsîr edilmesi bir görev olarak addedilmiştir. Tefsîr yazma düşüncesindeki her âlim kendi ilmî yeterliliği ve bakış açısına göre Kur’ân’ı Kerim’i farklı açılardan tefsîr etmeye çalışmıştır. Bu tefsirlerden birisi de 16. yüzyıl Osmanlı âlimlerinden birisi olan Ahmed b. Mahmûd el- Esamm el-Karamânî (ö. 971/1564) tarafından yazılmış hâşiye niteliği olan bir tefsirdir. Eser, birçok el yazması eser gibi kütüphane koleksiyonlarında ortaya çıkarılmayı beklemektedir. Araştırmanın konusu Karamânî Tefsîri’nin Tevbe Yûnus ve Hûd Sûrelerinin Tahkîk ve Değerlendirilmesidir. Araştırmanın amacı; onun yazma halinde bulunan bu tefsîrinin ilgili bölümlerinin tahkîkini yaparak eserin ortaya çıkarılmasına katkı sağlamaktır. Tez müfessirin anlatıldığı dirâse ve tefsîrin ele alındığı Tahkîk şeklinde iki bölümden oluşmaktadır. Yapılan başlıklandırmalar ve verilen dipnotlar ile gerekli görülen açıklamalar yapılmaktadır. 30.09.2022 tarihine kadar kullanımı yazar tarafından kısıtlanmıştır.

    Authors: Jodra Egido, Pablo;

    Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado (TFG) surge fruto de la investigación individual del autor del mismo en materia de Dirección de Proyectos, así como de su trabajo en el Departamento de Dirección de Proyectos en British Telecom Group, empresa líder en el sector de las telecomunicaciones con presencia en 180 países. El objetivo del presente TFG es el de analizar y comparar diferentes metodologías de Dirección de Proyectos utilizadas en la actualidad en el sector de las telecomunicaciones a través de un caso práctico. También se persigue exponer el trabajo de un Jefe de Proyecto a lo largo de todo el ciclo de vida de un proyecto real. En los primeros cinco capítulos se realiza un marco teórico sobre la Dirección de Proyectos, definiendo el contexto histórico y destacando los roles y responsabilidades del Jefe de Proyectos, persona encargada de coordinar y alinear esfuerzos y recursos para el cumplimiento de los objetivos del proyecto. También se elabora un estudio sobre los principales modelos de Dirección de Proyectos, concluyendo esta sección con un análisis comparativo de las dos corrientes más extendidas en la actualidad: las metodologías en cascada y las metodologías agile. A continuación, en el capítulo cinco, se realiza una presentación de la empresa BT Iberia, filial española de British Telecom Group, a través de su porfolio, modelo de negocio y metodologías utilizadas en el departamento de Dirección de Proyectos. Posteriormente, en el capítulo siete, se procede a la aplicación de todo lo estudiado anteriormente en un caso práctico. El objetivo es desarrollar, desde el punto de vista del Jefe de Proyectos, todo el ciclo de vida del proyecto de migración de equipos de transmisión Tierra- Aire en 23 aeropuertos nacionales. Durante el estudio del caso práctico se puede observar la aplicación de una metodología en cascada híbrida, combinación de PRINCE2 y el manual PMBoK del Project Management Institute, en conjunto con la aplicación de principios agile en el subproyecto de una de las sedes.

    Abstract Background and Aims Excessive salt intake is implicated in the progression of hypertension, chronic kidney disease (CKD), diabetic nephropathy, cardiovascular diseases, cerebrovascular diseases, and increased mortality. In Japan, average salt consumption surpasses the levels recommended by national guidelines and the WHO. However, individuals seldom have the chance to gauge their salt intake accurately. This study aimed to validate a screening tool initially developed by Sasaki et al. to identify individuals with excessive salt intake using health check-up data from Asahi City, Chiba Prefecture, Japan. Method This study was conducted as a part of the Cities Changing Diabetes (CCD). CCD is Novo Nordisk's commitment to drive action against type 2 diabetes and obesity in cities globally. It is a partnership program to accelerate the prevention of diabetes and obesity by addressing the systemic change in urban environments. Participants of this study were drawn from specific health examinations in Asahi City. Consent was obtained, and dialysis patients were excluded. Spot urine samples were analyzed for sodium and creatinine to estimate daily salt intake via Tanaka's formula. The screening tool incorporated risk factors such as age, gender, Body Mass Index (obesity), hypertension (use of antihypertensive drugs), frequency of soup intake, saltiness of home-cooked meals compared to restaurants, efforts to reduce salt intake, and frequency of dining out. The primary outcome was excessive salt intake, defined as an intake exceeding one standard deviation above the mean. Discrimination was assessed using the Area Under the Curve (AUC), while calibration was evaluated with a calibration plot and the Hosmer-Lemeshow test. Results Of the 1532 CKD participants, the mean age was 76.3 years, with males comprising 46%. The average daily salt intake was 9.3 g (SD: 2.39), and the estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR) was 50.6 ml/min/1.73 m² (SD: 14.5). The distribution of CKD stages included 1198 stage 3a, 285 stage 3b, 43 stage 4, and 5 stage 5 patients. The AUC of screening tool was 0.65 (95% CI: 0.61 to 0.69), and its calibration slope (with an intercept) was 0.98 (95% CI: 0.72 to 1.25). The Hosmer-Lemeshow test yielded a p-value of 0.626. Conclusion The predictive capability of the existing model for excessive salt intake was limited in the CKD population, which may suggest a need for a screening method distinct from that used in the general population. Factors such as changes in sodium excretion due to reduced renal function and the effects of diuretics should also be considered when interpreting these results. Integrating this questionnaire into routine health check-ups could enhance dietary monitoring and intervention, potentially attenuating the progression of CKD and its associated complications. There remains scope for further refinement of the tool's accuracy by incorporating additional predictors.
