Training is an important aspect of knowledge acquisition and transfer in the Social Sciences and Humanities Open Cloud project (SSHOC). For successful implementation and promotion of the SSH Open Cloud, it is crucial to empower users, and to facilitate mutual learning and networking among data producers, users, and experts. Therefore, the SSHOC Training Community has been established. It aims to facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration between experts who provide training to scholars in the Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) on tools and services offered by the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC).As part of various training formats during the SSHOC project lifecycle, T6.4 has conducted a series of bootcamps. These four events were directed at different stakeholder groups, primarily research libraries and archives, universities, and research-performing institutions. The bootcamps covered a broad range of topics and tools relevant for Open Science and Research Data Management and for conducting training in those fields. This deliverable reports the outcomes of the bootcamps that, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, took place online. Chapter two brings individual bootcamp reports that provide deeper insights into structure, topics,and stakeholder representation. Since the final bootcamp, co-located with the IASSIST conference, was organised in May 2021 due to the original postponement of the IASSIST conference, the final deliverable describing the bootcamps (D6.12) as well as the deliverable of the final version of the toolkit (D6.11) and its related milestone (MS41) were delayed.In the following chapters, a reflection of all the bootcamps is provided together with a compilation of lessons learned and best practices for setting up online events.

The goal of this report is to provide a broad overview of the way the Research Data Alliance (RDA) and the humanities as an academic discipline can be of value to each other. The intended audience for this report in the first instance are digital humanities researchers and service providers in the humanities domain. By providing basic relevant information on the RDA for this target group it is foreseen that they can benefit from the output of the RDA and increase their involvement in RDA activities. This report has the intention to be of interest for stakeholders in the RDA as well, since it describes aspects of the research data infrastructure of the humanities and this could inspire them to engage with the humanities research community.The compilation of this report is part of the RDA Europe 4.0 project in which DANS (Data Archiving and Networked Services), the Dutch national RDA node, acts as an ambassador of the RDA for the humanities.

International audience; This volume presents the proceedings of the 5th edition of the annual conference series on CMC and Social Media Corpora for the Humanities (cmc-corpora2017). This conference series is dedicated to the collection, annotation, processing, and exploitation of corpora of computer-mediated communication (CMC) and social media for research in the humanities. The annual event brings together language-centered research on CMC and social media in linguistics, philologies, communication sciences, media and social sciences with research questions from the fields of corpus and computational linguistics, language technology, text technology, and machine learning.The 5th Conference on CMC and Social Media Corpora for the Humanities was held at Eurac Research on October, 4th and 5th, in Bolzano, Italy. This volume contains extended abstracts of the invited talks, papers, and extended abstracts of posters presented at the event. The conference attracted 26 valid submissions. Each submission was reviewed by at least two members of the scientific committee. This committee decided to accept 16 papers and 8 posters of which 14 papers and 3 posters were presented at the conference. The programme also includes three invited talks: two keynote talks by Aivars Glaznieks (Eurac Research, Italy) and A. Seza Doğruöz (Independent researcher) and an invited talk on the Common Language Resources and Technology Infrastructure (CLARIN) given by Darja Fišer, the CLARIN ERIC Director of User Involvement.

International audience; Through this White Paper, which gathers contributions from experts of 3D data as well as professionals concerned with the interoperability and sustainability of 3D research data, the PARTHENOS project aims at highlighting some of the current issues they have to face, with possible specific points according to the discipline, and potential practices and methodologies to deal with these issues.During the workshop, several tools to deal with these issues have been introduced and confronted with the participants experiences, this White Paper now intends to go further by also integrating participants feedbacks and suggestions of potential improvements.Therefore, even if the focus is put on specific tools, the main goal is to contribute to the development of standardized good practices related to the sharing, publication, storage and long-term preservation of 3D data.

Im Spätsommer 2016 begannen die Planungen der Open-Access-Teams der Freien Universität, der Humboldt-Universität und der Technischen Universität Berlin für die internationale Open Access Week 2016. In einem Call for Posters wurden Berliner und Brandenburger Open-Access-Projekte dazu aufgerufen, ihre Aktivitäten in einer Ausstellung vorzustellen. Die Publikation dokumentiert die Posterausstellung und Podiumsdiskussion zur Open Access Week 2016. Sie enthält 30 Poster inklusive Beschreibungen und Links zu den Originalversionen in Druckqualität, ergänzt um Fotos einer Abendveranstaltung bei Wikimedia Deutschland. In late summer 2016 the open access teams of the Freie Universität, the Humboldt-Universität and the Technische Universität Berlin started their plans for the international Open Access Week 2016. In a call for posters, open access projects from Berlin and Brandenburg were requested to present their activities in a poster exhibition. The publication documents the poster exhibition and panel discussion during the Open Access Week 2016. It contains all posters including abstracts and links to the original versions in print quality, supplemented by photos from the Wikimedia event. Not Reviewed

Since 2016, the tour de CLARIN initiative has been periodically highlighting prominent user involvement activities in the CLARIN network in order to increase the visibility of its members, reveal the richness of the CLARIN landscape, and display the full range of activities that show what CLARIN has to offer to researchers, teachers, students, professionals and the general public interested in using and processing language data in various forms. the initiative was initially conceived as a series of blog posts published on the CLARIN webpage and disseminated through the CLARIN newsflash and social media channels. In 2018, the results of the initiative were published in a printed volume. Gradually, Tour de CLARIN has proven to be one of the flagship user involvement initiatives by CLARIN ERIC, is highly valuable for our network and incredibly popular with our readers. that is why the initiative has since been expanded from presentations of the work carried out by national consortia to also feature the work of CLARIN Knowledge Centres, which provide a physical or virtual place where researchers, educators and developers alike can get cross-border access to knowledge and expertise in specific areas. As a reflection of the double focus, this second volume of Tour de CLARIN is organized into two parts. In Part 1, we present the seven countries which have been featured since November 2018, when the first volume was published: Estonia, Latvia, Denmark, Italy, Slovenia, Hungary, and Bulgaria. In this part, each country is presented with five chapters: an introduction to the consortium, their members and their work; a description of one of their key resources; a presentation of an outstanding tool; an account of a successful event for the researchers and students in their network; and an interview with a renowned researcher from the digital humanities or social sciences who has successfully used the consortium’s infrastructure in their research. In Part 2, we present the work of the four Knowledge Centres that have been visited thus far: the Knowledge Centre for treebanking, the Knowledge Centre for the Languages of Sweden, the TalkBank Knowledge Centre, and the Czech Knowledge Centre for Corpus Linguistics. In this part, each K-centre is presented with two chapters: a presentation of what the K-centre offers to researchers; and an interview with either a renowned researcher who has collaborated with the K-centre or a leading developer who is part of the centre itself and who provided as with valuable insight into what the centre offers.

Comunicació presentada a: Eighth International Conference on Language Resources and Evaluation, celebrada a Istanbul, Turkey, del 21 al 27 de maig de 2012. In this paper we present two real cases, in the fields of discourse analysis of newspapers and communication research which demonstrate the impact of Language Resources (LR) and NLP in the humanities. We describe our collaboration with (i) the Feminario research group from the UAB which has been investigating androcentric practices in Spanish general press since the 80s and whose research suggests that Spanish general press has undergone a dehumanization process that excludes women and men and (ii) the “Municipals’11 online” project which investigates the Spanish local election campaign in the blogosphere. We will see how NLP tools and LRs make possible the so called "e-Humanities research‟ as they provide Humanities with tools to perform intensive and automatic text analyses. Language technologies have evolved a lot and are mature enough to provide useful tools to researchers dealing with large amount of textual data. The language resources that have been developed within the field of NLP have proven to be useful for other disciplines that are unaware of their existence and nevertheless would greatly benefit from them as they provide (i) exhaustiveness -to guarantee that data coverage is wide and representative enough- and (ii) reliable and significant results -to guarantee that the reported results are statistically significant. The research reported in this paper is part of the activities carried out within the CLARIN (Common Language Resources and Technology Infrastructure). CLARIN in Spain has received funds from the 7FP of the EU (FP7-INFRASTRUCTURES-2007-1-212230), the Spanish Misterio de Educación y Ciencia (CAC-2007-23) and Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación (ICTS-2008-11 and ACI2009-0995) and the Generalitat de Catalunya, this project is committed to the integration of the Catalan language in CLARIN by the development of a demonstrator.
