This research related to the cultivation of microalgae as a source of food and energy of the future, in the design of photobioreactors that are integrated with IoT, so that it can be monitored continuously, controlled and used as a model for the development of greater microalgae cultivation technology. Cultivation in this study was a closed system photobioreactor, will produce microalgae that are not contaminated by external contaminants, growth analysis can be done based on the parameters that influence it, including the cultivation room temperature, lighting level (luminance), and the color of water in the photosynthesis process of microalgae, and also control of water circulation. Visualization of controlled parameters includes, temperature parameters, light intensity, water color changes. The observed parameters will be displayed in a graphical user interface (GUI) in real time using the internet. The advantages of this system can see the growth of microalgae in detail over time, and obtained raw data that can be processed for various research purposes.

description Publicationkeyboard_double_arrow_right Article 2022Universitas Jenderal Soedirman Harwanto Harwanto; Eko Hendarto; Bahrun Bahrun; Nur Hidayat; Dina Istiqomah; Dewi Puspita Candrasari; The present study aimed to determine the productivity and nutrient digestibility of sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) fodder given different levels of urine fertilizer in various planting media and harvest times. The study was carried out in June - September 2020 and used numbu variety of sorghum planted hydroponically at fodder phase. This study used a 2x4 factorial completely randomized design with 4 replications. The first factor was the harvest time at 5 days (H1) and 10 days (H2). The second factor was the planting media that included water medium as an internal control (M1), 12.5 mL/L of urine fertilizer (M2) and 25 mL/L of water medium (M3), and urea 20 mg/L of water medium (M4) as the external control. The urine fertilizer was derived from Ongole crossbreed urine fermented for 21 days. The density of sorghum seeds in the planting medium was 2.5 kg/m2. The observed variables included plant productivity and nutrient digestibility in vitro. Data analysis used ANOVA and continued with Duncan's Multiple Range Test to determine significance. The results showed that the addition of urine fertilizer and harvest time had a significant effect on plant height, length of fresh leaf production, dry matter, organic matter, and crude protein compared to those of the internal control. The H2M3 treatment provides a comparable productivity effect with H2M4. Meanwhile, harvest time affected dry matter and organic matter digestibility. It can be concluded that 25.0 mL/L of urine fertilizer in planting medium and harvest time in 10 days were able to increase productivity, dry matter digestibility, and organic matter digestibility of sorghum fodder.

The white solid crystals , 3.1 % of these triterpenic acids are easyly isolated from alcoholic extracts of these dried fruits. They are well known in both cosmeticeutical and medicinal industries. Therefore the objective of this work is to derivative those to be the inseparable ethyl ursolate 3-ethyl ether [its isomeric ethyl oleanolate 3-ethyl ether], and to evaluate their anticancer activity against P-388 murine leukemia cells. The results are 71% of the derivatives have been successfully made from the inseparable ursolic [its isomeric oleanolic] acids by in situ reaction between those triterpenic acids with thionyl chloride and ethanol in benzene. The anticancer activity of ethyl ursolate 3-ethyl ether [its isomeric ethyl oleanolate 3-ethyl ether] against P-388 murine leukemia cells with IC50 value of 31.36 µg/mL is twofold (1.7) more potent then their mother compounds, the inseparable ursolic [its isomeric oleanolic] acids with IC50 value of 53.5 µg/mL.
