The method of preparation of tungsten or tungsten carbide filters consists of spheroidization of the tungsten or tungsten carbide powder in a plasma jet, having temperatures 25000 to 30000 K, using an inert gas, preferably nitrogen, as a carrier gas, and a feed rate up to 24 kg/h, and sintering the spheroidized product at 1750 to 1950 °C.
